Location & Transport

The Celebration will be held at Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre, just 35 minutes drive from Wellington City and 20 minutes from the Hutt Valley.

Accommodation is available at the Celebration venue. There are twin rooms, shared rooms and shared dormitory accommodation. The dorm rooms are simple, clean bunkrooms.

Dormitory (9-12 person): $30 per person

Getting to Brookfield Outdoor Education Centre

The venue is at 562 Moores Valley Road, Wainuiomata, Lower Hutt. Follow SH1 and SH2, take the Petone turn off. At the roundabout take the second exit onto the Esplanade. At the next roundabout, take the second exit onto Seaview Road. At the following roundabout turn left onto Parkside Road. Take a right onto Bell Road S, then a left onto Gracefield Road, join Wainuiomata Road direction Moores Valley Road.

Public Transport

Railway and buses are available from Wellington to Petone.

Airport Flyer Number 91 disembark corner Jackson St and Britannia St, Petone. Cost per adult approx. $10 Click here for info

Pick-up Service

There will be pickups from the Petone railway station and on Jackson Street (coming from Airport Flyer coach). These must be booked in advance. Fee for pick-up service is $5.00.

Drop-off Service
Saturday, 4 April and Sunday, 5 April Leave Brookfield at 5:30pm
Monday, 6 April Leave Brookfield at 3:00pm, 4:00pm, 5:00pm

The pick-up/drop-off services must be booked in advance. Booking for this service will close 48 hours prior to the commencement of the Celebration. There are no other times other than the ones listed above. You can request this service when booking on-line, or by contacting transport@nzdharmacelebration.org

There will be a transportation notice board set up at the Celebration for people to post messages to catch a ride of share a taxi/shuttle. For those participants with cars, please read the messages posted to see if you are able to offer rides to those who need them, your kindness will be greatly appreciated.
